This book is grim, but at the same time bright and vibrant. Ware's unique paneling, design and colouring held my interest throughout. It's full of sad and flawed characters acting out the quotidian details of their lives. The Jordan Lint storyline in particular made me consider how short life is and how sour it can seem at times depending on the choices you make. I, like others, found the small lettering irritating at times. But I think he had his reasons for making that choice. (Maybe communicating emotion... or getting you as the reader to get your face right up in the image.) Will recommend this book!
