With a completely new cast stepping in as the real-life "characters" have grown older, "The Crown" continues to engross and entertain in the third series. Helena Bonham Carter was born to play Princess Margaret, and Olivia Colman does a fine job taking over as Queen Elizabeth. I thought Josh O'Conner was effective in portraying the conflicted emotions of the maturing Prince Charles; a sensitive man forced into a world not of his choosing. My only minor quibble is that many of the cast are much more attractive than their real-life counterparts (sorry, Camilla and Princess Anne!) but you get sucked right into the drama and chaos. Excellent entertainment that you don't want to ever end. Now I need to go watch Season 4!

Totally addictive! Yes, this is mostly fiction wrapped around known facts about the royals, but what seductive fiction it is! The production values are first-rate and the actors (who often don't look anything like the real royals, although some bear a passing resemblance) are more than up to the task. I know Season 4 is on Netflix now, but not having that, I'm grateful for the library DVD. Now bring on the next chapters!
